The maker of Albert Einstein hairdos, attractive skirts sticking to the legs, and that pleasant electric shock when getting towels out of the dryer.

What’s static?

I’m not going to bore you with a physics lecture about the electrical charges of atoms because let’s face it, I wasn’t paying attention in High School when I took physics and you are not going to pay attention to me now.

How can we get rid of static naturally?

Over the years I have tried so many different things, to no avail. Some do work better than others depending on what you need them for.

Natural ways to get rid of static

  • Avoid dry air by running a humidifier
  • Use wool dryer balls in the dryer
  • Use a dab of hair conditioner before styling hair
  • Avoid wool hats
  • Spray hair spray on blankets and towels
  • Rub a dryer sheet over hair or clingy clothing
  • Use chemically laden commercial products (like Static Guard ®)

You can try so many other ways or you can use just one natural product!
